All Formula 1 drivers will be able to wear helmet cams for the 2023 season, after an agreement with Racing Force Group.

Racing Force Group will provide its Drivers Eye cameras, which are FIA-homologated micro cameras (8 millimeters in diameter and weighing 2.5 grams) positioned at eye-level on the protective padding on the inside of the driver’s helmet.

The technology was trialled during 2022, and will now be used throughout the season for broadcast and digital content. It had been limited to only drivers who used Bell helmets, but will now be available for all.

F1 has seen growing audiences over the past few years, with the docuseries F1: Drive To Survive credited with bringing new viewers to the racing series.
