Warner Bros. Discovery has revealed strong audience growth across its streaming and linear channels for the US Open.

The tournament saw two new singles winners - Poland’s Iga Świątek (women’s) and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz (men’s) - and the final competitive appearance of all-time great Serena Williams.

Warner Bros. Discovery had analysis from the likes of Mats Wilander, John McEnroe, Kim Clijsters, Alex Corretja and Barbara Schett, across both pay-TV and free-to-air channels in Europe.

Particularly impressive was the tournament’s streaming performance, with a 101% increase in the discovery+ audience, and the Eurosport app attracting 50% more viewers. This came after Warner Bros. Discovery increased its streaming minutes by 55%.

In addition, the linear audience across Europe was up by 11%, with Spain (+311%) and Poland (+78%) growing the most - likely thanks to the success of Alcaraz and Świątek. Finally, Eurosport 2 saw growth in every market, and there was a 46% increase in video views through the Eurosport website.

This comes after the broadcaster also reported growing audiences for the Australian Open and Roland-Garros.
