LIV Golf is reportedly considering giving away its broadcast rights for free.

The Daily Mail reports that after the competition was shown free-to-air in the UK on YouTube, Facebook, and its own site in its inaugural season, LIV Golf is now considering this new solution. Earlier reports have linked it with paying for airtime in the US.

It has apparently been in negotiations with Sky Sports, DAZN, and BT Sport - which recently completed its joint venture with Warner Bros. Discovery. DAZN does stream the competition in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Japan, but the UK continues without a broadcaster. Meanwhile, Sky Sports shows golf from the PGA Tour (a deal which it extended with Warner Bros. Discovery just last year), and Warner Bros. Discovery holds onto the PGA Tour rights in European and Latin American territories where it operates Eurosport and discovery+.

LIV Golf has announced that it will have 14 events in its second season, but only seven have been fully revealed to date.
