Movistar Plus+ subscribers will be able to access DAZN’s coverage
DAZN has agreed a non-exlcusive distribution deal with Telefonica, which means its LaLiga coverage will be available to Movistar Plus+ subscribers in Spain.
The OTT platform has the rights to 175 LaLiga games-a-season for the next five campaigns after a deal in December, with Telefonica holding the rest of the rights. Working out as five games-per-week, DAZN will also handle production for its matches, with the aim to bring in new talent and a new style.
DAZN’s deal with Telefonica follows similar agreements with telcos in other territories, including Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom and Swisscom in Germany - where it airs the Bundesliga, TIM in Italy - where it shows Serie A, and KDDI in Japan - where it broadcasts the J.League.
