EMG-owned Origins Digital has opened a UK office in Brighton.

The company works with rights holders and broadcasters on customised app development, website design, live streaming and editorial, including the likes of the MCG, Wembley, BeIn Sports, AC Milan, Fiorentina, French Football Federation, NBL, Swimming Australia and French Handball League.

A sales, project management and operations teams will be based in Brighton, led by sales director of Origins Digital and Origin Digital UK managing director Steffan Piolet. Piolet will work “closely” with EMG’s High Wycombe office.

The UK team is supported by UX/UI designers, mobile, web and full stack developers, as well as product and project managers to conceive, develop and bring to market interactive OTT touchpoints.

Piolet said: “Sports fans have come to expect content to be available anytime, anywhere, such as live streaming, on-demand coverage as well as supporting statistics and analysis. On the other hand, rights holders need to innovate to capture their attention and connect with them whether they are in a venue, at home or on the move.

“Origins Digital is now bringing its wealth of expertise in innovative user experience to provide UK customers with a unique offering for their audiences. We are here for the long term and look forward to welcoming clients who want to talk with us about developing their digital fan engagement strategy.”

Origins Digital was created from the fusion of EMG subsidiaries On Rewind and Netco Sport, and its main headquarters is in Paris, France.
