Bout will take place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia on 26 February
Promoter Skill Challenge Entertainment has appointed Whisper as the host broadcaster for the world feed of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury’s long-anticipated cruiserweight boxing bout.
Taking place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, on 26 February, the match sees the two undefeated boxers face each other after two postponements caused by injury and travel issues for Fury.
Whisper has experience in boxing already, having also been host broadcaster for Oleksandr Usyk’s second victory over Anthony Joshua last year. This time round, its coverage will be going out to broadcasters such as BT Sport Box Office in the UK and ESPN+ PPV in the US.
Whisper’s team for the event will include its head of sport Pete Thomas, who has worked on world title fights featuring Oleksandr Usyk, Joe Calzaghe, Amir Khan and Carl Froch; executive producer John Curtis, who has worked in boxing for the last 15 years on headline pay-per-view events; and Bethan Evans, its director of production. The delivery team will include members from the UK, as well as local crew.
In addition to Whisper, Chapter 3 Graphics will supply audio-visual effects for the broadcast.
Sunil Patel, Whisper CEO, said: “This fight has been a long time coming, and we are thrilled to have been chosen to deliver the world feed host broadcast by Skill Challenge Entertainment after our successful delivery of Usyk v Joshua last year. These two fighters are exciting young talents with lots to prove and we can’t wait to capture the energy and emotions, so viewers feel part of the event.”
