Sunset+Vine is producing the World Cup Rugby Sevens, after being commissioned by World Rugby.

39 hours of content will be produced across the three-day event, which takes place 9-11 September and sees 40 teams compete in men’s and women’s competitions to be crowned world champions. New Zealand currently hold the title in both men’s and women’s events, and are in the semi-finals going into the final day today, 11 September.

Over 20 cameras are used for every match, including Spidercam - which was acquired by Ross Video this month. In addition, statistics and data will be visualised using AR graphics, with Sunset+Vine producing both the world feed and Super Sessions, available to rights holders, which will include features, highlights, interviews as well as additional content from the tournament.

In addition to the tournament itself, Sunset+Vine has also been commissioned by World Rugby to produce The Hot Desk, a programme for both digital and broadcast, presented by Elma Smit and Greg O’Shea, which takes a light-hearted look at the action both on and off the pitch each day.
