The Tour de France, as well as the Lions’ tour matches and Tests v South Africa will be produced by the company.
Sunset+Vine Cymru has revealed the work it is doing on the Tour de France and British and Irish Lions rugby tour this summer.
The Tour de France, which got underway on Saturday 26 June, is being produced for S4C by Sunset+Vine, with Welsh fans sure to be interested in how former champion Geraint Thomas gets on. It will follow the races live every afternoon, with highlights shows also produced for the evenings. The coverage will be available on S4C Clic and the S4C on-demand online service as well as linear, with executive producer Cerith Williams leading production.
Meanwhile, after producing the Lions’ farewell match v Japan on 26 June live, Sunset+Vine Cymru will also be delivering highlights of the five provincial matches for All 4. This will be followed by live pitchside presentation of the three Test Matches against the Springboks for Channel 4, with the coverage led by Cerith Williams in South Africa and senior producer Gethin Hughes back in Wales for live delivery.
While this is going on, UK rugby in the 2021 Summer Series between June 27th and July 10th covering England A v Scotland A at Welford Road (Leicester), Ireland v Japan (Dublin), England v USA and England v Canada (Twickenham) will also be produced for Channel 4.
Sunset+Vine chairman Jeff Foulser said: “Cerith and the team have had a fantastic year so far. But they’ve got an intense couple of months ahead of them. Our relationship with the world’s biggest cycling race is precious to us and our ongoing rugby for Channel 4 is an indication of our strength and experience in the sport.”
