GoPro will be the competition’s on-board action camera provider for this season.
SailGP has added GoPro as its on-board action camera provider for its second season.
GoPro will be adding HERO9 and MAX cameras to the SailGP teams’ boats, which bring 5K image quality, 360° views, and HyperSmooth technology for stabilisation. In addition, a variety of mounting accessories will be used to ensure they are positioned in the best place.
To celebrate the deal, SailGP and GoPro are running the What’s Your Next Adventure competition. Two fans will be able to win a SailGP x GoPro prize bundle plus an exclusive SailGP Season 3 experience by revealing where they would like to spend their next adventure.
There will be further prizes through the season, with the competition beginning last Friday and winners being announced next March.
SailGP head of digital and fan engagement Daisy Vollans said: “GoPro’s passion for adventure-seeking and conveying those moments through digital storytelling is the perfect complement to SailGP’s adrenaline-fueled championship, that’s powered by nature and delivered against a backdrop of natural, iconic venues around the world.”
SailGP’s next race weekend of the second season is to be held in Taranto, Italy on 5-6 June, after Bermuda hosted the first event last month.
