The pair have commissioned long and short form versions of The Garms Dealer.
Insight TV has commissioned a long-form version of new lifestyle series The Garms Dealer, with Channel 4 commissioning a short-form version of the show for social media and All 4.
The Garms Dealer ((5 x 22’ Insight TV, 5 x 8-10’ C4) is being produced by Zig Zag Productions, and is executive produced by Daniel Riley, Danny Fenton, Matt Graff (Zig Zag) and Arun Maljaars (Insight TV).
It follows 20-year-old Sam Morgan, a young fashion guru, as he dresses some of the Premier League’s top players, and will feature Morgan joining top flight footballers to talk about fashion and football, before finding the best ‘garms’ and ‘creps’ for his celebrity clients.
Paul Pogba, Dele Alli, and Kevin De Bruyne are among the players involved, and Morgan will also give tips to viewers on the latest styles. It will premiere on Insight TV internationally this summer, with the short form version available exclusively on social media across C4’s social platforms globally, and on All 4 in the UK.
Arun Maljaars, Insight TV’s vice president of content and channels, said: ‘Led by a young and exciting host, ‘The Garms Dealer’ is a pure blend of fashion, football and influencers - the perfect millennial and Gen Z programming mix. We are delighted to be broadcasting this series along with Channel 4.”
Thomas Pullen, Channel 4 digital commissioning exec, added: “We’re always on the hunt for brand new faces and fascinating stories to bring to our loyal audiences on social and we can’t wait to take them into Sam’s world of football, fashion and entrepreneurial skills. We’re so excited to see what it really takes to style some of the most talked about sports stars in the world.”
Danny Fenton, CEO of Zig Zag Productions, said: “We have been tracking the phenomenal story of Sam Morgan for a while now and as a young tycoon we expect audiences to be as inspired by him and his work as a concierge service to global football superstars as much as we have been. With an incredible Euros behind us and a new Premier League season ahead, there has never been a better time to share this unique access series.”
