IMG is to produce a daily golf coaching show to accompany the PGA Championship.

The live four-hour digital show, named PGA Coaching Live presented by Cadillac, will be streamed live from an outdoor studio on the driving range at PGA Championship host The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, South Carolina, USA for each day of the tournament.

It will be available on PGA.com and ESPN+ on 18-19 May (during practice rounds) and the first two competition rounds on 20-21 May. The content will be available on PGA.com during and after PGA Championship Week and defending PGA champion Collin Morikawa will also provide additional coaching content on PGA social media channels and PGA.com.

PGA Professional Steve Scott and sports reporter Melanie Collins will host, with guests such as PGA Professionals Joanna Coe, Joe Hallett and Rich Jones – all national award winners – as well as Rick Sessinghaus, the coach of 2020 champion Morikawa. Senior producer, Ben Simister, production executive Nikki Payne and technical manager, James Bonner, will head onsite production for IMG.

PGA president Jim Richardson said: “It’s exciting to be able to showcase how PGA Coaches help golfers improve, no matter where they are on their golf journey, across all ability levels. These expert PGA Coaches know what the players in the PGA Championship are focusing on, as well as what recreational golfers can do to enjoy their own golf experience. We believe this programming will inspire viewers to connect with their own PGA Professional as the best way to increase their enjoyment of the game.”

Tim Lacy, executive producer for IMG, added: “This is a very innovative way of showcasing how every golfer can improve and develop their game by using the experience and knowledge of PGA professional coaches. There will be swing analysis on some of the top players, interviews and on-site coaching demonstrations with an emphasis on driving consumers to find their own coach at PGA.com/Coach.”
