Broadcast Sport ran a free-to-attend Content Summit event at Dock10 Studios in MediaCityUK, Salford yesterday (16 March 2022). The busy all-day event saw sports producers, sports broadcasters, sports content makers, and social and digital media specialists present a range of compelling speaker sessions to around 100 attendees.
The programme for the day included sessions about how the documentary Micah Richards: Tackling Racism was made; what’s next for The Hundred cricket tournament; How to maximise the reach of sports content on YouTube; How the Commonwealth Games 2022 will be produced and broadcast; Insight into the new ‘flying cars’ sport of Airspeeder; a presentation from the Women’s Sport Trust revealing stats around the growth of women’s sport on TV; In conversation with sports production company Whisper; and How to create virtual studios for sports broadcasts.
Many of the sessions featured winners of the Broadcast Sport Awards 2021, including speakers from Buzz16, Sky Sports, Dock10 and Whisper, alongside Sunset+Vine, Little Dot Studios, Team Whistle and more.
