Fujifilm Kangaroo Lite is Fujifilm’s latest tape-based on-premise data archiving solution, powered by Fujifilm Object Archive Software, an open format data and system management software, that has no vendor lock in and helps to future proof companies’ data.
Fujifilm Kangaroo Lite was recently launched and is a compact and all-in-one solution tailored to organisations requiring storage capacities of 100TB and above. With its desktop-sized form and plug and play functionality, it offers convenience and versatility, even in limited storage spaces.
This solution prioritises security by providing air-gap protection against hackers and cyber-attacks. This ensures that archived data remains safeguarded for the long term. Additionally, with an archive life of over 30 years, customers can have confidence in the durability and reliability of their archived data.
The integrated software Fujifilm Object Archive offers connectivity with multiple data sources and destinations, adding flexibility to the archiving process. This capability allows seamless integration with any existing IT infrastructure. The software saves data in an open format, which means that data is written to tape without a vendor lock in. With the software’s Self Describing Format it is not necessary to install software to read data from tape. It also has a Self-Healing System Architecture to archive data with high integrity offering confidence that data will not be corrupted or lost.
