Warner Bros. Discovery has renewed its deal with Infront for the Swiss Ski World Cup events.

The multi-year agreement covers 45 European markets, including the UK. Live broadcast coverage will be available across Eurosport 1 and 2 with uninterrupted streaming on the Eurosport App and on discovery+ in available markets. It was last renewed in 2021, in what was also called at the time a ‘multi-year’ deal.

The first events under the new partnership include the FIS Ski Cross World Cup, which takes place in Arosa, Switzerland on 12 December and the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup from theSt Moritz resort on 16 December.

Trojan Paillot, vice president, Sports Rights Acquisitions and Syndication at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, said: “This year we have scaled coverage from the biggest events in skiing – including screening every unmissable moment from Beijing 2022 – to the widest possible audience while telling the stories of the athletes throughout the season.

“Our reputation as the ‘home of winter sport’ allows us to maximise viewer engagement around our live coverage and additional content, while also using the biggest events including the Olympic Winter Games to help bring in new fans. By working with our partners to showcase world-class FIS events across our channels and platforms, we are confident we can continue to expand our audiences while helping winter sports to grow further between Olympic cycles.”
