India’s home tours against South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, and Sri Lanka will also be shown over the next 12 months
Sky Sports has agreed a deal to broadcast the three ODI and five T20 matches of England’s tour of India.
The pay-TV provider lost out to free-to-air Channel 4 for the test series, which marked the first time that test cricket has been on a free channel since the 2005 Ashes.
As a part of the agreement, Sky Sports will also be airing India’s home tours against South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, and Sri Lanka over the next 12 months. The 2021 and 2022 IPL competitions will also be aired by the broadcaster.
England’s five T20 matches will take place in Ahmedabad in March, and the three ODI games are in Pune later that month.
Remote commentary will be provided by Stuart Broad, Dinesh Karthik, Ebony Rainford-Brent, Nasser Hussain and the rest of Sky Cricket’s regular pundits throughout the series.
Sky Sports director of cricket, Bryan Henderson, said: “We’re delighted to be broadcasting England’s white-ball tour of India, and are especially looking forward to the five T20 internationals as we build up to the IPL and the ICC T20 World Cup later this year.
“It’s another great summer of cricket on Sky Sports with India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand touring, more women’s cricket than ever, and The Hundred.”
