Live sports content security specialist Friend MTS has appointed Shane McCarthy as CEO, which it says ushers in “a new chapter for the company.”
McCarthy was previously COO at Irdeto, and president for international business at Pace. He was founder and CEO of Caldero, and sits as a non-executive director at Consult Red.
As the incoming CEO of Friend MTS, McCarthy is tasked with driving growth for the company across all markets. Friend MTS’s clients include Sky, the Premier League, UEFA, Warner Bros Discovery, BBC Studios, Serie A, WWE, Bell Canada and Rogers Sports & Media.
He said: “It is an exciting time to join Friend MTS as we plan and implement the next phase of growth for the company. As the world leader in content security for live sports and events, we already protect some of the biggest brands in the media and entertainment industry.
