OneFootball has agreed a content partnership with LaLiga.

The Spanish competition will be the first league to use its official account to share all club news, interviews, match reports and videos, including a selection of matchday highlights footage in Spanish and English.

Its content will be available on the OneFootball app and website, with videos including archive material, behind-the-scenes, and highlight footage available via the OneFootball Player - which distributes content to over 250 high-profile publishers and media outlets worldwide.

Alfredo Bermejo, LaLiga’s director of digital strategy, said: “Being on key platforms like OneFootball is essential for LaLiga, to reach millions of fans and new users that can enjoy the most of the best league in the world. The agreement with OneFootball allows us to position ourselves at the forefront of the entertainment industry.”

Lucas von Cranach, founder and CEO of OneFootball, added: “LaLiga is one of the biggest and most exciting football leagues in the world, and is consistently among the most-followed competitions on OneFootball. It is our aim to become the platform of choice for football leagues around the world to share their content with the new generation of fans, and we’re delighted LaLiga has opened an account to expand the reach of one of the best leagues in the world. We’re so excited to welcome LaLiga to our network and can’t wait to start sharing amazing content featuring FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia CF, Atlético de Madrid and the rest of the league with our users.”

OneFootball VP of OTT streaming and media rights, Nikolaus von Doetinchem, spoke to Broadcast Sport last month about the company’s strategy - which includes bringing its young audience to established broadcasters.
