LaLiga has extended its broadcast deal with DAZN in Germany and Austria.

The competition has been available live and exclusively through DAZN in the two territories since the broadcaster formed five years ago, and this will continue that agreement for another five seasons.

This announcement comes as LaLiga heads into an exciting final day, with rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid both in with a chance of lifting the trophy. Set up by a dramatic weekend which saw Atleti score twice in the final ten minutes to defeat mid-table Osasuna and hold on to their two point lead at the top of the table, this final round of matches will be broadcast exclusively on DAZN on 23 May.

Thomas de Buhr, executive vice president of DAZN DACH, said: “Almost exactly five years ago, DAZN set out to revolutionise the way fans experience their favourite sports. LaLiga has been by our side all these years and is therefore a fundamental part of our broad portfolio of top-class football. So it’s even nicer that fans in Germany and Austria will be able to watch all the games from the Spanish Top Division live and exclusively on DAZN for the next five years.”

Melcior Soler, audiovisual director at LaLiga, added: “DAZN has become a key part of the sports landscape in a short space of time and we are proud to continue our successful partnership with them. This long-term renewal offers the best opportunity for fans to discover the full breadth of our competition in one of Europe’s leading football markets.”
