The channel will speak to those involved with the race, and analyse Vuelta-related news.
La Vuelta a España has become the first cycling Grand Tour to launch a Twitch channel.
The Spanish competition aims to use the outlet to analyse Vuelta-related news, feature interviews with cyclists and others involved in the competition, and interact with viewers through a live chat.
It began on 15 April with the presenters of online cycling programme A Pie De Puerto leading the content. Shows with these presenters will be broadcast every Thursday at 9pm.
Alongside the Twitch channel, La Vuelta is continuing the podcast that it started during the 2020 race. Beginning from 20 April, the podcast will be released fortnightly every second Tuesday.
Director of La Vuelta, Javier Guillén, said of the new channel and podcast: “We hope to reach new audiences and to adapt to all the new ways in which our followers follow cycling. It is also an opportunity for us to generate conversation around our race all year round.”
La Vuelta runs between 14 August and 5 September this year, starting in Burgos and finishing in Santiago de Compostela.
