It will broadcast the competition until 2023
Eleven Portugal has secured the live rights to Formula E until 2023.
Starting with the Diriyah E-Prix in Saudi Arabia this Friday, the broadcaster will complement the live action with in-depth analysis and opinion from a dedicated Formula E punditry team. Portuguese fans will tune in to see reigning Formula E champion and compatriot António Félix da Costa attempt to defend his title.
The races will be available across Eleven’s OTT and linear platforms, with Eurosport also airing the races as they share the rights.
Formula E joins F1, F2, F3, the Porsche SuperCup, the Asian Le Mans Series and the Italian Road Racing Motorbike series in Eleven’s motorsport portfolio, and comes in the same month as Eleven Portugal signed up to the rights for Nascar.
Eleven Portugal managing director, Jorge Pavão de Sousa, said: “Formula E is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and in Portugal the championship is building a dedicated following of fans. With António Félix da Costa racing to defend his title this season, I think we will only see Formula E continue to grow in the weeks ahead.
“Formula E is an innovative and forward-looking championship and a great addition to our motorsports offering at Eleven Portugal.”
