Change of strategy has seen a number of additions to leadership team
DAZN Group has hired Pete Oliver as its chief marketing officer.
Oliver spent the last 20 years in a various roles at BT, most recently as managing director of its small and medium enterprise business for BT and EE. He has also been managing director of commercial, marketing, and digital for BT and BT Sport’s consumer divisions, as well as commercial director for the same parts of the business.
DAZN has made a number of changes to its leadership team since switching strategy to target innovations such as betting, gaming, and e-commerce. Shortly after this announcement it was revealed that the streaming giant had missed out on the acquisition of BT Sport, which has gone on to form a joint venture with Warner Bros. Discovery.
Since changing its strategy, DAZN has launched DAZN Bet, appointed new chiefs in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, plus Spain after acquiring domestic Bundesliga and LaLiga rights, and added Sandeep Tiku as its chief technology officer with the aim of making its platform more interactive.
