Four children will be given the chance to present, commentate, and interview for Brentford v Liverpool on 2 January
Sky Sports is giving four children the chance to front a special presentation of the Premier League clash between Brentford and Liverpool.
Titled Premier League Juniors, it will air from 5pm on 2 January and will be available to non-sport Sky subscribers on Sky Showcase, as well as Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Mix.
The game will also be available on Sky Sports Main Event with Sky Sports regulars including Gary Neville, Micah Richards, Jamie Carragher and David Jones.
The four children joining Sky Sports – either from Hounslow schools or schools who work with the Liverpool FC Foundation – are Naveed, Rishi, Delilah and Aman. They will join Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates, and will have a go at a variety of roles during the broadcast including presenting, interviewing managers and players, as well as commentating.
Gary Hughes, director of football at Sky Sports, said: “The younger generation are the future of Sky Sports and Premier League Juniors will put them front and centre of our coverage. We hope to inspire kids up and down the country. Who knows, we might discover the next Gary Neville or Kelly Cates.”
