Barcelona and Real Madrid face each other in the first semi-final next week
BT Sport is to show the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals and final this month.
La Liga runner up Real Madrid and Copa del Rey winner Barcelona face each other in the first semi-final on Tuesday 12 January, while La Liga champion Atletico Madrid and Copa del Rey runner up Athletic Bilbao clash in the second semi-final on Wednesday 13 January.
The two winners will then play in the final on Sunday, 16 January. It is the third time that the four-team format has been used for the competition, which formerly featured only the La Liga and Copa del Rey champions playing each other.

Barcelona v Real Madrid (semi-final) – Wednesday 12th January, BT Sport 1 6.30pm
Atletico Madrid v Athletic Club (semi-final) – Thursday 13th January, BT Sport 1 6.45pm
Spanish Super Cup 2021/22 Final – Sunday 16th January, BT Sport 3 6pm
Athletic Bilbao is the current holder of the trophy, defeating Barcelona in the final at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last year. BT Sport also aired the matches that time round.
BT Sport’s coverage will be presented by Lynsey Hipgrave alongside Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole, and begins at 6.30pm, 12 January, on BT Sport 1 ahead of the 7pm kick off between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the first semi-final. It will resume at 6.45pm on the same channel for the second semi-final the day after.
Finally, coverage of the final will begin at 6pm on BT Sport 3 on 16 January.
