FA Vase and FA Trophy finals will be shown by broadcaster
BT Sport is to broadcast non-league finals day, which sees the FA Vase and FA Trophy finals being played at Wembley Stadium on 22 May.
The FA Vase Final will see Southern Combination Football League side Littlehampton Town face United Counties League Premier Division South side Newport Pagnell Town, and it will kick off at 12:15pm. This will be followed by the FA Trophy Final, which will see National League Bromley FC take on a fellow National League side, Wrexham AFC at 4.15pm.
S4C is also broadcasting the FA Trophy Final, after Welsh side Wrexham made it to the match.
Rachel Knight, sports rights director at BT Sport, said: “Today’s news, alongside our exclusive coverage of the Vanarama National League since 2013, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to non-league football. Non-League Finals Day joins a bumper period of finals on BT Sport including the finals of UEFA club competitions as well as rugby’s Heineken Champions Cup Final, Challenge Cup Final, and, the Allianz Premier 15s Final.”
Andy Ambler, The FA’s director of the professional game, added: “We’re delighted to be able to welcome fans in large numbers back to Wembley Stadium for the 2021/2022 Non-League Finals Day after so many missed out over the last two seasons due to COVID.
“It’s fantastic that we have BT Sport on board to provide the opportunity for people across the country who are not able to join us in person to watch on TV. We’d like to thank BT Sport for their support on what is always a highlight of the Non-League season.”
