BT Sport is to remain the Professional Squash Association (PSA)’s official British broadcast partner after renewing its multi-year partnership with the federation.

The broadcaster has televised live action from the sport’s tournaments – including the showpiece PSA World Championships as well as the majority of PSA World Tour Platinum events and the PSA World Tour Finals – since 2015.

This latest renewal was brokered by PSA’s strategic commercial partner Infront and will see the partnership between the PSA and BT Sport extend to over a decade.

As well as live coverage, BT Sport also shows extended tournament highlights of the PSA World Tour.

PSA chief operating officer Lee Beachill, said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with BT Sport and are thankful for their continued commitment to the sport. Since the beginning of our partnership in 2015, we have worked closely with BT Sport to broadcast our incredible athletes to our passionate audience in the United Kingdom.

“Together with BT Sport, we have also taken advantage of growing technological trends to help drive the sport forward, notably becoming the first racket sport to be broadcast in UltraHD. We look forward to continuing and enhancing our relationship with BT Sport in the coming seasons.”

Rachel Knight, sports rights director, BT Sport, added: “It’s fantastic news for squash fans that we are continuing our long-term partnership with the PSA and that they will be able to continue watching all of the top-flight action live on BT Sport.”

Amikam Kranz, Infront vice president media, betting & technology, said: “BT Sport has been the home of top-class squash for many years and we are delighted to have facilitated the continuation of this partnership. The sport has a dedicated following in the UK and the fact we’ve been able to reach this agreement is a proof point of the sport’s appeal in a key market.”
