Upcoming content will feature interview with Liverpool and England’s Jordan Henderson
BT Sport and the High Performance Podcast are partnering to create both audio and video sport content.
Fronted by BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey and psychologist Damian Hughes, the High Performance Podcast will make both podcasts and linear televised content, which will sit on all major podcast platforms, BT Sport’s TV channels, as well as the HPP website, with extended versions of the podcasts available on BT Sport.
Upcoming content from the BT Sport and High Performance Podcast tie-up includes an edition focused on Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, plus an edition featuring Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole and Peter Crouch where they discuss the FIFA World Cup. BT Sport 1 will broadcast the FIFA World Cup edition on Saturday November 19 November at 5.15pm.
The High Performance Podcast regularly speaks to top names in sport, as well as other industries, including Gareth Southgate, Toto Wolff, Christian Horner, Eddie Jones, Tracey Neville, Steph Houghton, Alex Scott, Kelly Holmes and Sir Clive Woodward, and it is on tour around the UK in 2023.
Jamie Hindhaugh, head of BT Sport, said: “We are excited to be expanding our long-term relationship with Jake. Working with the High Performance Podcast will provide our viewers with new insights into the lives of coaches, players and executives who make up the world of sport.”
Humphrey added: “I’m delighted that High Performance have struck this exciting agreement with BT Sport. It means even more people see the game-changing conversations we are having with global sports leaders. Taking a podcast onto TV shows the power of these long, in-depth conversations.”
