Kaka, Marcel Desailly, Gary Neville, and John Terry among lineup
beIN Sports has named its pundits for the World Cup.
The Qatari broadcaster has the rights to the competition across 24 territories in the Middle East & North Africa, as well as France.
The lineup is headlined by World Cup winner Kaka, who is joined by fellow World Cup winner David Villa, Argentina legend Gabriel Batistuta, former England internationals Gary Neville, John Terry and Lianne Sanderson, Italy’s 2006 winner Alessandro Del Piero, Denmark’s Peter Schmeichel, France’s Arsene Wenger and 1998 World Cup winner Marcel Desailly, Germany’s 1990 winner Lothar Matthaus, Dutchman Ruud Gullit and former Republic of Ireland international Jason McAteer. Ghana Assistant Coach George Boateng will also join the BeIN Sports team during the tournament.
In addition, stars from the MENA region involved include Egypt legend Mohamed Aboutrika, fellow former Egyptian footballers Wael Gomaa, Ahmed El Mohamady, Haytham Farouk, former Egyptian professional referee Gamal El Ghandour; Morocco’s Youssef Chippo, Algeria’s Rafik Saifi; Tunisia’s Hatem Al Trabelsi, Tarak Dhiab, Tarek Ghdiri and Karim Haggui; and from from host country Qatar, and neighboring countries Saudi Arabia and Kuwait - Mubarak Mustafa, Ibrahim Khalfan, Abdulaziz Al-Sulaiti, Yasser Al-Qahtani, Tariq Al-Jalahma, Saad Al-Hoti, and Faisal Al-Dakhil.
North American representation comes from former United States internationals Jermaine Jones and Christopher Sullivan, as well as former Canada women’s midfielder Kaylyn Kyle.
Former Premier League referee Mike Dean, who retired last season, will also provide analysis throughout the competition.
Meanwhile, these pundits will be joined on beIN’s English and Arabic coverage by presenters Mohammed Saadon Al Kuwari, Ayman Jada, Abdelaziz Al Nasr, Abdulla Al Ali, Tariq Al-Hammad, Hichem Al Khalsi, Bassel Tabbal, Mohannad Jalli, Mohammad Kidan, Lakhdar Berriche, Meshari Al Khuziam, Nicky Crosby, Reshmin Chowdhury, Richard Keys and Andy Gray, in addition to over 50 reporters.
