It will deliver Amazon Prime Video’s coverage to commercial venues across France
UK-based company Screach is to deliver Amazon Prime Video’s Ligue 1 coverage to commercial venues across France.
The streaming giant picked up the rights to 302 Ligue 1 matches-per-season last summer, in a three-year deal that also included Ligue 2 games.
Cloud-based streaming and advertising platform Screach is delivering this content to bars, restaurants and cafés across France - having started in January. Available in 157 countries, Screach aggregates live sports services and gives venues access via subscription or pay-per-view and is also used by the likes of the NFL.
Robert Rawlinson, CEO of Screenreach, said: “From January we’ll be making it easier than ever for the owners and operators of bars, restaurants and cafés across France to harness the power of Ligue 1 matches and other live sports to attract and retain customers, without the need for a satellite or cable service.
“Above all it is refreshing that a business the size of Amazon would choose a new technology provider in Screach to offer a next generation streaming solution to the commercial venue market in France.”
