Wise Buddah Studios has upgraded its five studios to run Pro Tools HDX with Blackmagic Design video cards.

The facility’s Studio 4 now has an Avid C24 control surface, completing Wise Buddah’s shift from Digidesign hardware.

The company is now halfway through a facility-wide upgrade that includes a back-end storage overhaul and two further studio refurbishments over the next 18 months.

Managing director Dave Holt said: “This upgrade allows much improved integration into the overall post workflow for our TV work, as well as the processing power to push sound design further when working in larger surround sound sessions.

“More and more we are providing audio for both production companies’ in-house post departments and post houses who don’t offer audio so it’s crucial to make that process as smooth and time efficient as possible technically.”
