Apple-based Soho finishing house Unit has secured the contract to post-produce the new series of the BBC’s Watchdog.
Unit will provide offline, online, grading and audio services for the quick turnaround consumer affairs show which returns next month.
Post-production on the inserted, non-live elements of the show was previously done by Clear Cut Pictures in Shepherd’s Bush.
Managing director Adam Luckwell said: “Unit is committed to editing projects of a high quality and prides itself on the ability to deal with any format. Watchdog is one of the BBC’s highest rated TV series; now with a new format and length the edit requires all of Unit’s experience and expertise. The commission is a testament to our hard work and we are thrilled to be working with the BBC again.”
Other Unit clients include Five, ITV, Discovery, National Geographic and Sky.
