Post firm VTR North has signed a deal with Aframe to become the cloud-based video production platform’s second upload partner.

VTR North, which has bases in Manchester and Leeds, will work with production companies and broadcasters to help them transfer content to Aframe’s private cloud storage and collaboration network.

VTR North managing director Carl Walters said: “When Aframe approached us, we knew that producers coming to this area would need services to help them collaborate with colleagues, whether based here or around the country.

“This partnership couldn’t have come at a better time.”

Last month, Aframe announced that London post facility Clear Cut Pictures had become its first UK upload facility. VTR North set up its Manchester office in May this year. Its credits include CBeebies’ Show Me Show Me.
