Prime Focus-owned VTR plc has completed its acquisition of visual effects house Clear for£300,000 in cash and around 2 million VTR shares. The move comes after Broadcast revealed the company's plans to take over the boutique last month ( Broadcast, 30.6.06). The acquisition was made to enable VTR to compete better in the high-end commercials sector and digital visual effects. The deal values Clear at£1.5m.
