UTV has taken delivery of a£2m OB truck for use on light entertainment and sports shoots. The unit is built on a Mercedes Atego chassis, and has 12 cameras, a Thomson mixer and an Aston Red character generator to enhance its new graphics department. Work for the truck will include Choir of the Year, which is a 10-day shoot with 220 choirs, and the north-west motorcycle race in May, with a seven camera OB - that goes up to 26 with the inclusion of electronic production cameras.
