Reseller Tyrell CCT has added a raft of new technologies to its supplier list as it bids to further bolster its UK operation.

File delivery system developer Aspera, encoding company Grab Networks and Marquis Broadcast have all been signed up, with Tyrell now providing systems integration and sales and support for products from all three.

At the same time, Malcolm Smith has been appointed as business development manager for new media technologies in the UK. He was most recently regional sales manager at Avid.

Tyrell CCT managing director Bryan Malone said: “We are now focused on developing new partnerships
that will drive further company growth.”

The news was announced at Broadcast Video Expo 2010 this week, along with details of a digital newsroom contract for Al Sharqiya Television’s new London bureau.

The company moved from its original Soho launch office (Broadcast, 07.05.09) to Berwick Street last month.
