Todd-AO has bought a£100,000 Quantel eQ editing system. The eQ provides editing, grading and versioning that can work at both standard and high-definition, a key reason for the purchase. Managing director Sam Webb said: 'We know the HD market is set for huge growth and while that growth is happening, we can use the eQ at SD and still create revenue from the machine.' Webb also explained that additional software releases over the past 12 months had finally persuaded her of the eQ's worth. The system will be installed next week.
