VTR Group's animation outfit The Hive has hired senior animator Martin Carroll to replace Richard Nelson who has joined Moving Picture Company (MPC), writes Barbara Marshall.
Freelancer Carroll has worked for many of the top post-production houses in the past five years, including Smoke & Mirrors, MPC, Framestore CFC and The Mill. His credits include the recent Zurich Pensions commercials featuring the flying pigs, as well as programme animation for BBC/Discovery's X-Creaturesand Channel 4/CBS's Merlin.
Nelson joins MPC after five years at The Hive. Before that, he worked at The Film Factory with MPC's recently appointed deputy creative head Lee Danskin.
