Brief Create the title sequence, maps and programme graphics for the 3 x 60-minute history programme.

How it was done The book sequences were shot and then composited and animated in After Effects.

The maps and artwork were hand-drawn and scanned then composited and animated in After Effects.

Design and concept was by Howard Watkins and Julia Hall, who was also the lead animator and compositor. The artwork was created by Sara Riding.
