Broadcast technology firms Pace, Vinten, Latens Systems and S&T were among the companies to be given the Queen’s Award for Enterprise last week.
Pay TV security software company Latens won an international trade award for the first time after doubling its exports over three years.
Tripod manufacturer Vinten was recognised in the innovation category for its Perfect Balance technology, an engineering development for camera support.
S&T was chosen for an international trade award after growing exports more than six-fold to nearly £4m over six years and increasing the proportion of exports to over 90% of total sales in the qualifying period.
Pace (pictured) also got the nod in that category after becoming the world’s second largest supplier of set-top boxes to the global pay TV market.
It is the third year in a row that Pace has won a Queen’s Award.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious awards for business performance and recognise and reward outstanding achievement by UK companies.
