The roles have been filled from internal promotions
Vine FX has appointed Pedrom Dadgostar (pictured, above left) as head of 3D and Ezequiel Villanueva (pictured, above right) as head of 2D. Both are the result of internal promotions at the Cambridge-based VFX studio.
Dadgostar and Villanueva will run their departments and manage the balance of artists based at the facility and those remote working.
Dadgostar’s CV includes three years at MPC Advertising, while, at Vine FX, his most recent project is working on the VFX of Fox and Canal +’s War of the Worlds, season 1.
Villanueva has 12 years of VFX experience, as has previously worked at MPC and Double Negative. He is currently leading Vine FX’s 2D team on the BBC One and Netflix’s upcoming eight-part series, The Serpent.
He said: “The core values of the company align well with my personal beliefs about maintaining a work-life balance that does not sacrifice the quality of the final product.”
Vine FX founder Michael Illingworth added: “At Vine FX we are committed to delivering quality visual effects for feature films and episodic drama. Ped and Eze bring with them a wealth of experience from their respective fields and are a huge asset to the team. I’m really looking forward to developing Vine with them and building on our recent successes.”
