Rental house Video Europe has ordered 20 of Sony’s new PXW-FX9 camcorders as well as ten PXW-Z750 4K camcorders.

Both products were announced last week at IBC.

The PXW-FX9 is the first Sony XDCAM camcorder featuring an 6K Full-Frame sensor and Fast Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) system, and is expected to be released before the end of 2019.

The PXW-Z750 is a 2/3-type shoulder camcorder that supports native 4K shooting, and is expected to be released in February 2020.

“Not only are the PXW-FX9 and the PXW-Z750 impressive pieces of technology, they also offer all the key features and capabilities that are so critical to our customers,” said Matt Marner, director at Video Europe

“We are thrilled that our long-standing partner Video Europe has already placed an order for our new camcorders,” added Hiroshi Kajita, head of media solutions at Sony Professional Solutions Europe.
