Former interim MD Andrew Boswell to work with finance and property professional Superna Sethi
Twickenham Film Studios has appointed Andrew Boswell and Superna Sethi as joint managing directors.
Former MD Cara Sheppard left the company last month, becoming president of Streamland Media’s picture division, Picture Shop.
Sethi hasn’t worked in the TV and film industry before, and comes from 30 years’ experience in the finance and property industries. She is co-founder and managing partner of Manhattan Properties - where she will continue as managing partner while working at Twickenham Film Studios.
Meanwhile, Boswell was commercial director at Twickenham Film Studios from July 2016 until July 2018, before going on to become interim MD until May 2020. Since then he has worked as commercial director as Lip Sync Post, the same role he had from 2012-2016. He also worked at Molinare for two years.
Boswell and Sethi will be tasked with growing revenue across the company’s production, digital dailies, post-production and financing businesses and implementing a new plan for growth and investment.
Bowell said: “I am thrilled to be returning to the much-loved and world-renowned Twickenham Film Studios with its fantastic blend of historic stages and world-class post-production facilities, and to be re-teaming with Sunny Vohra and Roger Sewell on the new board. I am looking forward to working closely with colleagues old and new to enhance the Twickenham client experience whilst improving the commerciality of the business.”
Twickenham Film Studios chairman Sunny Vohra added: “We are delighted to welcome Andrew back to Twickenham, having enjoyed working successfully with him in the past. He brings back a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry. Andrew will be working closely with other recent appointments Kim Honeyman, formerly of X2X Creative Services and Technicolor, as head Of production, Rachel Morrison as head of facilities and Malcolm Ellison as head of technology & post.
“Furthermore, we also have Superna Sethi, a business partner, coming to Twickenham as joint MD. Together we are aiming to take the studio back to the forefront of UK film and TV production.”
