The Go:Mixer Pro enables smartphones to capture and mix high-quality audio
Roland has released the palm-size Go:Mixer Pro to enhance the quality of audio in videos created with a smartphone. It replaces the smartphone’s built-in microphone with a more fully-featured alternative, combining multi-channel mixing and sound monitoring.
The Go:Mixer Pro makes it possible to connect and mix up to nine audio sources at once; including pro-quality powered microphones, guitar/bass, and line-level gear such as keyboards and drum machines.
The mixing controls provide straightforward hands-on volume adjustment, with the audio output sent directly to the smartphone’s video or audio app.
A headphones output with level control is also provided for monitoring the mix.
Go:Mixer Pro is powered by the smartphone connection or via four AAA-size batteries, if you want to conserve your phone’s battery.
The Go:Mixer Pro costs £149 and is available now. To find out more, click here.
