Inga Ruehl of Sky Sports and Borika Vucinic of Bell Media will receive their awards on 18 November
Rise, an advocacy group for women working in broadcast, has revealed joint winners of its Woman of the Year award.
Inga Ruehl of Sky Sports and Borika Vucinic of Bell Media will receive their accolades at the Rise Awards ceremony being held as part of the DPP Leaders’ Briefing event at 155 Bishopsgate in London, at 5pm on 18 November. As well in person, the awards will be streamed globally by Red Bee Media. They will be presented by presenter, radio DJ, and actress Sarah Champion.
Ruehl is executive director of production services and operations at Sky Sports, and her teams look after the planning and delivery of all home-produced content across Sky’s 11 live sports channels, with responsibility for studios, post-production staff and facilities, outside broadcast, and crewing. Over the past 12 months her work has been important to the broadcaster’s move to remote production.
Meanwhile, Vucinic is vice president of Bell Media’s network - which is Canada’s largest media conglomerate. She oversees engineering support and operations for the Bell Media network broadcast sites in Montréal and Toronto, and project engineering and network support for television and radio stations across Canada. She also serves on the NABA (North American Broadcasters Association) Board of Directors as a vice president.
To attend the awards ceremony in person, you register here, and information on how to tune in remotely will be released through Rise’s social media channels.
