Dock10 dubbing mixer Richard Lee has died. His career spanned three decades, with his credit list as dubbing mixer including productions such as Classic Albums – Paul Simon Graceland, Fat Friends and The Royal.
He worked at Dock10 for the last three years, while his previous roles in the industry included audio team leader at Sky; dubbing mixer/editor at Blue Sky Audio/Timeline; senior dubbing mixer at Sumners and ITV Yorkshire; and dubbing mixer at TeleCine.
Announcing Lee’s death, Dock10 posted on Facebook and Twitter, saying: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague Richard Lee, who was an invaluable member of the dock10 post-production team. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Richard’s family and friends. Richard will be sadly missed by us all. Rest in peace.”
Among the tributes left to Lee, producer/director/editor Jo Evans said: “I’m still in shock from this tragic news. Richard mixed literally hundreds of trailers for ITV and BBC at Timeline North and Dock10. Every single one was as good as the last. A massive loss to the industry. A sensitive soul with some great stories who will be dearly missed.”
