It’s the company’s second building and opens a year after the company first launched
Racoon has opened a second building, on Margaret Street, London, just over a year after the company first launched.
The new office extends Racoon’s ability to provide grading, online and 5.1 stereo and Dolby Home Atmos services to its clients. Margaret Street provides “spacious collaboration, review and mastering rooms”, says Racoon, along with two audio mixing studios.
Racoon has been built around the concept of the “work anywhere world”, says the company, offering a hybrid setup with editors working on Racoon edit systems across the UK and Europe. Its offices in Frith Street and now Margaret Street also offer editing rooms, alongside an expanded range of post-production finishing suites.
As part of its expansion to Margaret Street, Racoon is partnering with Vaudeville Sound to supply audio creatives to work within Racoon’s audio rooms.
Racoon chief commercial officer Charlotte Layton said: “We are thrilled to be teaming up with Dan, Bronzie, Luke and Lois and their team [at Vaudeville Sound] to provide our audio post services and talent supply. We strongly believe in enabling creatives to be matched on a production by production basis and Vaudeville’s amazing stable of talent will help us ensure we can offer our clients the very best in creative choice.”
Vaudevilla Sound’s Dan Jones added: “To partner with Racoon is such an exciting opportunity as we see post-production evolve to be a future-thinking creative industry.”
David Logsdon, chief information officer at Racoon, said: “Margaret Street will provide the perfect setting for us to showcase our innovative platform to the production community as we move closer to launch later this year”.
Layton added: “Margaret Street is more than a great space for our creatives and clients – it will also enhance our commitment to training the next generation of talent, providing an environment for sharing and learning”.
Racoon founder and CEO, David ‘Klaf’ Klafkowski, said: “No one feels remote when they work with Racoon and our hybrid offering ensures that face-to-face time is hassle free when it’s needed. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Margaret Street. It marks another milestone in Racoon’s continued success story and provides a great location for creative collaboration to thrive”.
