Curated archive of historic world events from the last 100 years

Footage library Pond5 has unveiled what it says is the world’s largest collection of licensable royalty-free archival footage. The Pond5 Archival Collection covers the last 100 years and has been curated by historians. It includes rare footage from World War II, the Space Race, and other “historic global events”.

Pond5 says all the content has been digitally converted and restored using “professional film-conversion techniques.” Most of it is available in HD.

All video in the Pond5 Archival Collection is available as a royalty-free license with worldwide usage in perpetuity.

“Offering outstanding archival footage has been one of the most frequent requests from our customers. We are very proud to offer so many unique views into history,”
