Goldcrest senior colourist explains how the pandemic has impacted the role of the colourist
Renowned colourist Jet Omoshebi talks to Broadcast Tech editor Jake Bickerton about how her working day has been turned upside down by the coronavirus crisis.
She’s currently grading a six-part series for HBO in two locations – at home and at a near-empty Soho facility – and has a number of other key projects to finish.
The shift to remote working has come out of the blue, and has meant adapting to a plethora of changes in working locations, how the colourist liaises with clients, adhering to the usual security requirements of clients, and working with 4K footage across different suites - at a calibrated post house facility and at a home grading environment.
Omoshebi also talks about how coronavirus might present an opportunity for the post-production industry to bring in long-term changes for the better.
