Both cameras will have first UK Panasonic demonstration at the Media Production & Technology Show

ISE2023_484

Panasonic unveiled two new cameras at ISE 2023, the PTZ AW-UE160 and studio camera AK-PLV100GSJ.

The UE160 is a new entrant in the studio and upper end PTZ market, and includes a high senstivity of F14/2000 lx, a newly developed Phase Detection Autofocus for auto tracking and focus, and an optical low pass filter that eliminates the moire effect for use in virtual production. It is also the industry’s first PTZ with SMPTE 2110 standard compatibility, and supports 2X high speed, 120 frames-per-second, with pre-orders shipping at the end of February.

Meanwhile, the PLV100 is a studio camera and includes a 5.7K Super 35mm sensor and PL Lens mount to accomodate shallow depth of field, with focus assist - a visual aid for auto focus. It is also switchable between cinematic 24p/30p and a 60p broadcast capture frame rate. It outputs SMPTE ST2110 video directly from its camera head, and requires an optical-fiber connection for return input, intercom input/output, PTP synchronization, trunk out, and tally input. It becomes available at the end of March.
