Owen Hulme has joined Residence Pictures as online editor and partner. He joins from The Farm Group, where he started his career.
Hulme has more than 18 years’ experience working in scripted drama, and has close working relationships with leading directors including Shane Meadows, Hugo Blick, Marc Munden and Tom Shankland.
His credit list includes Utopia, The Serpent and I May Destroy You.
Picture finishing house Residence Pictures launched in the Spring, as part of the Coffee & TV group.
It offers end-to-end workflow planning and execution; colour grading; online; QC and delivery, and can provide visual effects through Coffee & TV.
The company is also establishing a training academy to provide practical training for under-represented and marginalised communities within the UK post and VFX industry.
Hulme joins Residence Pictures co-founders Harriet Dale, Paul Harrison, Julian Nelson were each headhunted by managing director Cara Kotschy.
Kotschy said: “Owen’s experience, reputation and pedigree as an online editor is perfectly placed to help us launch Residence Pictures in its inaugural year. His ability to ensure clients leave happy and return to work with him time and again is second to none and I’m delighted to have him on board.”
