Mars Academy expands to Norway

Virtual production education centre Mars Academy has expanded to Norway with Studio City Norway.

Supported by Bild Studios and Mars Volume, Mars Academy Norway will offer a masterclass in In-Camera Visual Effects (ICVFX) filmmaking techniques. It will also aim to support collaboration and skills development across Norway and the UK.

Studio City Norway is planning to build a full-service film and TV studio complex on the outskirts of Oslo. This will include its own virtual production volumes, which will facilitate Mars Academy.

Mars Academy was launched by Mars Volume earlier this year, and offers a range of vocational virtual production training programmes.

The MARS Academy curriculum has been designed and supported by esteemed virtual production expert professionals with a wealth of experience who will continue to support the provision of the programme in Norway.

“The programme includes a range of courses specifically designed to arm participants with the knowledge, know-how and confidence to walk on set and add value to any virtual production.”
